059- The Unexpected Transformation of Grief, Death and Surrender w/ Inga

Samantha Charles Episode 59

Host Sam Special guest Inga, and Co-Host Anthony discuss the magic of grief and loss.

Every loss leads to grief, no matter how big or how small. If you know Inga, you know her Temple in Angleton, TX is a safe space for people to process through that grief with meditation, yoga, breathwork, and any number of embodiment practices. But, it wasn't always there.  It came into being from a number of difficult moments in Inga's life, starting with the loss of her father at an early age.

Grief is one of the least spoken of things that happens on a regular basis. When it comes to death and loss, our culture is normally rather quiet. Funerals are held and go, losing people is "part of life". But, what is missed is the opportunities that come from grief. Inga speaks clearly and shares insight on how the grief in her life led her to a series of relationships that led to even more loss... death or otherwise. And in this conversation, a multitude of wise words around sitting with your grief come through. Inga has become a powerful source because of the things she learned from grieving, from holding space for herself, and from leaving communities that did not see her as she truly was. The identity shifts, the realizations of why her losses contributed to her strength and vulnerability, and her resolve to heal were all factors in her creation of a beautiful home for all kids of healing and wellness to happen not only for her community, but for her own soul as well.

If you aren't sure where your grief has left you, listen in on Inga's story. Her shares are worth walking away with if you're ready to sit with your grief instead of reject it. And find out more about Inga here!
