Host Samantha and co-host Anthony discuss the hilarious and heartfelt origin story of their Houston Tantra community. In this episode, I get to share the whole story, from Anthony’s initial freakout about exploring a new side of intimacy to the powerful realization that changed everything for us. I’ll walk you through my personal journey of seeking a deeper connection that blended the spiritual with the sexy, and how a trip to Austin sparked the idea to build the very thing I was looking for in my own city.
I also get really honest about my complicated relationship with Houston. For a long time, I felt like my people and my passions were somewhere else, maybe in the mountains of Colorado or the hippie vibes of Austin. This part of our journey shows how surrendering to your reality can unlock a powerful new purpose you never saw coming.
Finally, we explore how our own relationship became the foundation for this entire community. It’s not about telling people to be just like us. Instead, we want our connection to be a beacon of possibility, showing what can happen when you prioritize communication, playfulness, and a whole lot of laughter. We talk about the importance of maintaining your own life even in a deep partnership and breaking free from the standard template of what a relationship is supposed to look like.
